An in-depth study of the beginning and middle phases of the helping process with focus on engagement, assessment, interviewing, and communication skills in work with micro, mezzo, and macro client systems. Theoretical concepts are applied to practice situations and methods for evaluation of practice are explored. Student must earn a grade of "C" or better for admissioninto SWK 4030. Prerequisite: "C" or better in SWK 3010 and SWK 3020. SOC 3910 must betaken as a prerequisite or concurrently with SWK 4811. Fall.
