Using a regional-cultural approach, students will consider the historical and contemporary cultural landscapes of Canada and the United States, including analysis of the variety and diversity of North America's cultural elements and forms, patterns of livelihood of its peoples, migration, diffusion of cultural traits, creation of regional cultures, and emergence of national and global cultural traits throughout the realm.
