This course is designed to show the application of chemical principles to the study of geology. Topics covered include aqueous geochemistry, activity-concentration relations, carbonate equilibria, pH- fO2 diagrams, isotope systems, and the application of geochemistry to solving environmental problems. Prerequisite: CHE 1031, CHE 1032, and GEY 1030. Spring, even years.
