Students will use primary and secondary source material to observe, research, document, and analyze past and present cultural landscapes of Castleton State College. Investigations focus on the phases of college construction, expansion, and beautification in the contexts of local, state, national, and international developments in education, economics, demographics, politics, athletics, architecture, and aesthetics, as well as the challenges and opportunities provided by the physical environment of Castleton itself.
