This course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and values that the entry-level athletic trainer must possess in pharmacologic applications relevant to the treatment of injuries to and illnesses of athletes and others involved in physical activity. In addition, the student will learn to recognize, treat, and refer, when appropriate, the general medical conditions and disabilities of athletes and others involved in physical activity. Prerequisite(s): AHS 3030 or 2157, or permission of instructor. Fall, even years.
