This course is designed to investigate advanced concepts in athletic training, and prepare senior students in the athletic training education program for the NATABOC certification examination. Topics of focus will include selection and fitting of protective equipment, recognition and management of environmental injuries and illnesses, psychosocial intervention and referral in athletics, and professional development and responsibilities. As a culmination of the clinical education and field experiences required to take the NATABOC examination, the student will develop an individualized study plan. Resume writing, public speaking and other professional preparation activities will be included. Fall.
