The course focuses on the mechanisms of energy production and expenditure involved in cellular metabolism with a special emphasis on carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism. Relationships between optimal nutrition and sports and exercise, thermoregulation and fluid balance, and ergogenic aids on physical performance will be covered. Prerequisites: AHS 3150, CHE 1031.
