Provides students with an understanding of the descriptive and economic analysis of the legal, regulatory, and ethical issues related to the hospitality and gaming industry in the U.S. and internationally. Includes a comparative analysis of the regulations of the various regulatory jurisdictions and state compacts with Indian Reservations. Develops awareness of ethical considerations peculiar to the hospitality and gaming industry. Topics also include economic impact of regulation, new jurisdictions, licensing, and price controls. Pre-requisite: BA 540 or equivalent.
