This course provides a detailed overview of the history, dedicated equipment and radiographic principles applied to mammography. Course content includes mammography machines, film/screen, darkroom and processing considerations, factors that govern and influence the production and recording of mammography images. Examines the FDA & MQSA requirements for mammography equipment and Quality Assurance of both film/screen and digital. Physics and application of Digital Mammography including detectors, image processing, image display and CAD.
