Includes: atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, chemical equilibria, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, and acidbase theory. Lab includes basic chemistry techniques and experiments illustrating fundamental concepts. Three hours of lecture and one 3-hour lab. Prerequisites for CHEM 120, 120L: appropriate preparatory course or MATH 150. Prerequisite for CHEM 121, 121L: CHEM 120, 120L.
