Explores the theoretical background for techniques commonly employed in cell and molecular research. Practical experience in cell culture, cellular immunology, cell fractionation, genetic analysis, and recombinant DNA techniques. Two hours of lecture and one 3-hour lab. Prerequisite: BIOL 210, 210L. Pre or corequisite: BIOL 407. Offered in the Spring semester, even years.
