Students have an opportunity to apply the knowledge, values, and skills acquired in their academic course work to clients in a community agency. Students will provide supervised professional services in a community agency for a minimum of 20 hours per week. A seminar on campus designed to help students understand, apply, and evaluate the use of social work methods in field settings and situations supports the field placement. The number of credits depends on the number of hours worked. Prerequisite: SOC 121, SOC 285, SOC 315, or SOC 385, or permission. Offered Term 2. (SW)
