Joseph In this course we examine the constitution of gender identities through communication. We incorporate a variety of readings and exercises to facilitate our exploration of how sex status/gender is made relevant through our everyday communicative patterns. We'll examine the constitutive relationship between communication and gender in a variety of contexts such as family, friendships, romantic relationships, the workplace, and the media.
