Franko An introduction to the nature and function of myth in Greece and Rome. Readings and discussions will give an understanding of the role of myth in religion, history, politics, and social organization. The course will also introduce the various methodologies for studying myth, such as comparative, historical, psychoanalytic, structuralist, folkloric, and feminist approaches.
