Hensley, Polseno This course explores various methods of hand building with clay. We use coil building, slab building, and plaster mold making to create pottery with attention to the essentials of form and design. We learn various firing and glazing techniques and study pottery's important role as one of the earliest and most enduring art forms. Students need to allow significant work time outside of class. No prerequisite and may be repeated for credit. Lab fee required. Offered both terms. (CRE)
