Siegel This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the nature of plants and the practice of plant science. We'll cover the structure, function, and diversity of plants, including discussions of practical/applied plant biology (conservation, biotechnology, etc.). You will be challenged to build an integrated understanding of plants, from an awareness of their biochemistry to their roles in an ecosystem, enabling future studies of plants and plant-mediated processes. Prerequisite/corequisite: CHEM 101 or CHEM 105. Offered Term 1.
