Nolan A seminar that examines the role that women have played in art, as subjects, patrons, artists, and critics from the Middle Ages through the 19th century. Special attention is given to professional artists like Artemisia Gentileschi and Mary Cassatt, as well as to the impact of feminism on the discipline of art history. Also listed as GWS 314.
