Department This seminar explores the impact of the feminist movement and feminist theory on the production, reception, and exhibition of works of art made between 1965 and the present. Topics to be investigated include the pathbreaking Feminist Art Movement of the 1970s; the confluence of race, class, gender, and sexual identity in feminist art; and methods used by feminist artists to address issues important to women's lives.
