Recreation and tourism professionals are increasingly becoming involved in major special events, conventions, fairs and exhibitions, and theatre arts productions. This course will deal with the intricacies of planning, conducting, and evaluating such events with special focus on: sponsorships; promotions; food, beverage, and lodging needs; transportation logistics; and the measuring of economic impact. Three hours, three credits.
