An introduction to the geology, taxonomy, and ecology of tropical ecosystems. Emphasis is divided between the study of a variety of tropical terrestrial ecosystems and marine organisms in coral reefs and eel grass communities. This course requires a multiple week field trip in the Caribbean or Latin America. Four credits.
