An introduction to physical chemistry for students in the life sciences. Physical chemistry is the analysis and modeling of physical aspects of chemical systems. Topics covered will include thermodynamics, physical behavior or matter, chemical equilibrium, chemical structure and dynamics, chemical kinetics, and spectroscopy. Prerequisites: CHM 104, MTH 103 or 112. Three hours, three credits.
