A course for any student interested in children's art. Students explore and experiment with various art materials and techniques that are appropriate for different age levels. Students study the developmental stages of children and their aesthetic awareness and artistic growth. The elements and principles of art are introduced. Students become acquainted with studio management including a practical knowledge of supplies and equipment. This course is especially recommended for students majoring in Art, Psychology, Parks Recreation and Tourism Management (Outdoor Emphasis), Physical Education, Liberal Arts, or minoring in Teacher Education. Four hours, three credits.
