This course examines strategies and techniques for arranging music for choral ensembles. Attention is given to the setting of text and to the use of melody, harmony, rhythm and form in choral music. Various musical styles and instrumental accompaniments will be explored, as well as a variety of performance levels from elementary school literature to professional ensembles. Prerequisite: MUSIC 233 or 237. Offered irregularly.
