This course includes components of classroom/rehearsal management and design with 50 hours of field-based experience in area high schools. It provides students with the "real world" opportunity to put into practice the knowledge, skills, and theories acquired and practiced during their on campus classroom, rehearsal, and clinical experiences. Students then have the opportunity to reflect upon the integration of these theories and practices as they return to campus during the final week of the semester for summary seminars and "PRAXIS" exam practice. During their timein the schools, students will observe the policies and practices of their cooperating teachers, participate in planned musical events of their respective schools, observe and participate in rehearsal planning for an actual rehearsing of musical ensembles. Prerequisite: MUSIC 242. Offered fall semester each year.
