This course provides teacher education candidates with the knowledge, dispositions, and skills needed to establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with families and community members. Students develop cultural responsibility in relation to family and community for the purpose of enhancing educational opportunities for young children. This course involves an optional service-learning component in a non-traditional educational setting. Prerequisite: EDUC 151. Offered fall and spring.
