Students will study the theory and practice of econometrics. Topics include: data collection, hypothesis testing, model specification, regression analysis, dealing with violations of classical regression assumptions, dummy variable techniques, time series and forecasting analysis. The course is designed to be a hands-on study with a strong emphasis on practical skills. Computers and statistical software will be used extensively. Prerequisites: 200, MATH 220 or 225 or 230, MATH 215 or 310.
