This course provides early childhood teacher education students with strategies to encourage children's physical, social, emotional, aesthetic, and cognitive development in addition to developing skills for planning and implementing developmentally and individually appropriate curriculum and instructional practices based on knowledge of individual children, the community, and curriculum goals and content. This course includes an intensive fieldbased service-learning component. Students must register for EDUC 211, 212 and 311 concurrently. Prerequisite: EDUC 151. Offered fall and spring.
