An introduction to physical and chemical geologic processes and natural resources as they relate to human activity and societal issues. Topics include geologic hazards (earth- quakes, floods, volcanoes and landslides), water quality and supply issues, waste disposal issues and environmental consideration in extracting energy and mineral resources.
