Laboratory safety topics include OSHA standards, material safety data sheets (MSDS), workplace safety, personal protective equipment, employer liability and employee responsibilities. Quality assurance topics include quality concepts and quality assurance principles, documentation, document control, standard operating procedures, proficiency testing, validation standards, test standards, instrument calibration, instrument maintenance, auditing principles, laboratory accreditation and analyst certification. prerequisites include Biology I, Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, and Physics I and II
