The social structure and social dynamics of social groups, including the division of labor, types of leadership, communication and authority structures, social conflict, and social control mechanisms. The relationship of the individual to the group; comparisons of different types of "natural" groups such as family, peers, workgroups; and the use of "experimental" groupsto investigate various aspects of group life.
