Emphasizes the dynamics of the process of evolution, especially as it relates to individual variation within an interbreeding population, to the variation pattern on the population level, and to the origin of species; more recent trends, such as introgressive hybridization, polyploidy, apomixis, and genetic homeostasis are developed.
