Prerequisites: All courses up through the fall of the fifth year. This course is intended to facilitate the development of the skills and competencies necessary for the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. The pathophysiology for each disease state will be reviewed along with the pharmacology and therapeutics for the drugs available for their treatment. Emphasis will be placed on patient assessment and the development of pharmaceutical care plans for patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. Lecture, 3 hours. Credit: 3 semester hours.
