Prerequisites: All courses up through the fall of sixth year. The course is intended to facilitate the development of the skills and competencies necessary for the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients suffering from allergic and immunologic disorders. Contemporary issues in the pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic prevention and management of these disorders will be investigated in detail. Emphasis will be placed on patient assessment and the development of appropriate pharmaceutical care plans for both the ambulatory and inpatient settings. Lecture, 3 hours. Credit: 3 semester hours.
