An examination of the legal environment of Human Resources, including federal and state laws that establish the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees. It aims at improving students' abilities to prevent, analyze, and resolve employment-related problems in the workplace through a study of various topics, including at-will employment, discrimination, harassment, privacy, fair labor standards, and collective bargaining.
