This course enables the student to learn the concepts around Information Technology (IT) auditing and how the IT audit is integrated with the financial audit process. Using the Control Objectives for Information and related Technologies (COBIT) methodology, the student executes an IT audit and learns how to identify, evaluate, document, and provide recommendations to improve IT controls. These include program change management, logical/physical security, computer operations, and application/automated controls. Restriction: Junior or senior status. Prerequisite: ACCT 401.
