An exploration of the psychology of both women and men from a biopsycho- social perspective, including: 1) the nature and meaning of gender, gender roles, and stereotypes; 2) research on gender similarities and differences; 3) gender development; and 4) the way that gender intersects with race/ethnicity, social class, sexual orientation, and other differences of interest. The roles of psychology and psychologists in broader social contexts are also discussed. Cross-listed with PSYC 250P. Prerequisite: PSYC 100C.
