In this introduction to film studies, students develop skills in film analysis. This course examines movies that portray our multicultural society and includes both American and foreign narrative, avant-garde, and documentary films. Students explore the social as well as aesthetic dimensions of this art form. The class includes a required weekly film viewing. Cross-listed with COMM 109D.
