In this capstone course, students examine the nature and function of communication theory as it applies to the study of mass communication. Emphasis is placed on the study of theories and models, the process of communication research, the applications of theory, mass media law, media economics, media ethics, and media careers. Restriction: Senior Communication/Journalism majors. Prerequisite: COMM 301.
