An introduction to ancient philosophy in the Western tradition. Works covered include the Pre-Socratic Philosophers, Plato, Aristotle, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, and the Roman Stoics. The goal of the course is to bring these philosophers into dialogue with each other, highlighting their similarities and differences in an attempt to show their importance in the history of philosophy and their relevance to society today.
