A study of philosophical and methodological issues related to teaching science to elementary students. Five hours field experience are required. At least 10 hours of laboratory work is required to collect and organize materials and resources for planning and teaching K-6 science lessons for peer and faculty review. Prerequisites: NSC 141, NSC 143 or 148, EDUC 320, and full admission to the education program. Offered fall.
