A study of the philosophy and methods of teaching social studies to elementary students. Emphasis will be placed on collecting materials and resources to plan and teach K-6 social studies lessons for peer and faculty review. Requires five hours of field experience. Prerequisites: HIS 132; HIS 133; POL 135, 231, or GEO 231; EDUC 320; and full admission to the education program. Offered fall.
