This course focuses on the introduction and/or mastery of selected NATA Education Council Athletic Training Educational Competencies and Clinical Proficiencies. Emphasis is placed on the principles, procedures and techniques that are commonly utilized in general medicine. The student must attend two lab sessions per week instructed by an Approved Clinical Instructor and complete clinical rotations under the direct supervision of an appropriately licensed health care professional. The clinical rotation will include rotations in general medicine and orthopedics. Prerequisite/Co-requisites: Admittance to the Athletic Training Education Program, HSE 350 and HSE 354. 1
