Advanced study of information assurance and security including theory, methods, and practices used by federal and state agencies, and private sector best practices. Topics include: threat assessment, evidence collection, forensics, countermeasures, practices and law. Students will work in a simulated environment and will investigate crimes and experience various security scenarios. Data center practices for the purpose of audit, control and accreditation are explored. Formerly a topic under INFO 590. Prerequisites: INFO 309, and either 475 or 648; or consent of instructor.
