The course is designed to meet two objectives: to introduce the student to the background and relationships between economics, public policy, unionism, and business management and their impact upon management-labor relations; to provide a basic orientation to the framework, processes, and strategies involved in collective bargaining and the resolution of labor grievances and arbitration in management-labor relations.
