This course focuses on the assessment and care of adults with acute health and mental health problems. Emphasis is placed on the role of the nurse as a member of the health care team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of client centered care. Attention is paid to the psychosocial aspects of disease within the context of a multicultural patient community. Nursing care skills relevant to specific methods of intervention are mastered. Prerequisites: NURS 102, NURS 301, NURS 310, NURS 315, Pre/Corequisites: NURS 360.
