Among the agencies to be compared are local detention and county jails, short-term custodial institutions, and state and federal correction systems. Topics include: theories of prison administration, inter-agency and public relations, planning and budgeting, laws governing the treatment of inmates, and security considerations. Prerequisite: Approval of the dean.
