Introduction to major commercial CAD software (CATIA, Pro/E, Solidworks, NX, etc.) in relation to the production of two and three dimensional images of design concepts for machinery components. Introduction to finite element techniques for structural analysis. Includes hands-on experience in the use of CAD software packages for designing and analyzing mechanical components.
