Multiple strategies for presenting science on the secondary level are discussed, analyzed, and practiced. This includes application activities that highlight scientific principles and practices as well as responding to a variety of learning styles. In addition, assessment strategies are developed that coincide with the science classroom experience. The infusion of technology into the science curriculum is a critical component. Students gain insights into the use of instructional technology and its effectiveness as a learning tool. Attention will be placed on Literacy development and content terminology as it applies to science. Field observation and experience are required and integrated into the course. Prerequisites: Approval for Teacher Certification candidacy; Department Chairperson's Approval.
