This course is designed for speakers of English as a second Language who wish to improve their conversation as well as their writing and reading skills. The course examines the beliefs, behaviors and experiences that may be unique to the United States. Students will read and discuss various documents (e.g., the Bill of Rights) as well as current essays. In addition, noteworthy TV programs, films, and speeches will be presented in class.
