Learning and curriculum design theories and principles are studied in this course. The topics emphasized are curriculum planning, methodology, evaluation, instructional strategies, learning styles, technology integration, multicultural diversity, rubrics and assessment. Students design a unit plan applying learning principles and a systematic, constructivist, learner- active approach to instruction. Through required fieldwork, pre-service teachers participate in the implementation of the curriculum in the classroom Prerequisite: Approval for Teacher Certification candidacy, Department Chairperson's approval.
